Patches was a little trooper. Yesterday, he stopped eating and drinking at about 11am. He passed in a lap at 3:50pm. He lost weight overnight. The stroke was too much for him. I really thought he would make it. He is now up there with his cagemate and my Buddy.
I lost my Buddy on the 5th. He was over 4 years old.

Oh, poor little guy. I have four gerbils right now and they really get to your heart. Sorry to hear about your loss.
Aw so sorry your little pal is gone but I am sure he had a great little life. I have never seen a white gerbil before, very pretty. I have a brown Syrian hamster that is a real sweetie. Yesterday he was lying on my chest after he had his ball time and he started to scratch and dig my Tshirt and tried to stuff some of it in his mouth. Silly guy wanted to take it home.
